DISNEYLAND

WE LOVE DISNEYLAND!!!!!!!!
Okay, mostly me, but Brian puts up with my childish ways. This was part of our Bollard family vacation . . . the best part! I love Disneyland and I love Brian's family so it was a great trip! This is the only time I've ever been to Disneyland when it hasn't been Halloween themed so I was pretty excited. Again we got some great shots!

This is half of the crew going into Disneyland. The rest were still at McDonalds finishing up breakfast. We wanted to make sure we got in line so we could be the first ones in.

They opened the doors thirty minutes early into Disneyland, but only into main street. So while waiting for the rest of the park to open we met Mickey Mouse. We were pretty excited considering Bri and I were wearing our matching Mickey & Minnie Mouse shirts.

We are too cheap to buy the photos of us on the ride so I just took pictures of the photos. This first one is of us on Space Mountain. Dan and Courtney are sitting behind us (if you look closely you can see Courtney's nose).

This one is of the Bollard boys and myself on Tower of Terror. Bob would have waived with the rest of us but he was too busy gripping the bars of his seat.

Another ride is of course California Screamin'! We went straight into California Adventure as soon as it opened so there was no lines for the ride. As soon as we got off the ride we went on it again. This is actually a shot of the second time. I think Bri was a little knocked out from the first time.

It was an awesome trip! As you can tell Bri and I were a little upset to be leaving but we will for sure be going again. Hopefully next time we go it will all be decorated for Christmas! :)

The BEACH

This last week we went on our Bollard family vacation in California. The first part of our trip was spent with Dave, Candace and Courtney. After a couple of days we met up with Bob and Wendy. They took Brian and I to the beach to meet up with Dan, Danielle and the girls. We got some cute pictures . . .

Homemade Shed!

Our yard still looks like we just moved in but we are working as often as we can to get it finished. We just had our sprinkler system put in and we are having someone come and level and put down topsoil. After that we will be ready for sod. We are pretty excited.

My dad came up a couple of weeks ago and he helped us extend our driveway, patio and then build a shed. Here is the shed halfway done!

This was all the wonderful help we had. Alex is missing out of the pic because this was right before Shelly went and picked him up.

The shed is complete and now we are just waiting to do the rest of our yard. More posts will be coming as our yard starts to come together.

1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

We made it to our one year anniversary and we are still in love. Our anniversary was on a Sunday so we started our day by going to church and teaching our wonderful primary class. After that we came home and Brian begged me to watch the first round of the Jazz vs Lakers, which was a waste because we all knew they could never win first round at the Staples Center. Anyways, then we came home and started putting together our cards for each other. We decided to do home made cards! I don't have a picture of the card Brian made for me, but I did take a picture of the beautiful flowers he got for me.

This is Brian's card that I made for him as well as the video of him reading it so you have an idea of what it says.

CuRsEs!!!

Saturday nights with the Bollards is always an interesting experience, you can ask the Royals. This particular Saturday we invited Brad and Whitney over to play games. After some fun filled Super Mario Brothers and Hand-n-Foot we introduced them to a game called Curses. Curses is a "simple" game, all you need to do is follow exactly what the cards say. You start your turn with a Challenge card and after completing the challenge you play a curse on another player. The other player reads their card and continues to do the task until either the game is over or the bell gets rung on them for not doing the curse. If you get rung on three different curses you are out.

Brian and Brad put forth a great effort, but still were eliminated after about 5 curse cards were given to them. However, the girls were able to do much better. The following video will demonstrate the girls talents with, at that time, 9 curses each . . . .

Whit's curses at the time:
  1. Speak as though you have an invisible golf ball in your mouth
  2. Whenever you speak, use your arms to do some dance moves
  3. You are Mr. T. Whenever you speak, say "I pitty da fool!''
  4. Whenever the player to your left speaks, constantly interrupt them by saying things like "Really! Is that so? Fascinating!"
  5. Whenever the person to your left speaks, shake as though you were in an earthquake.
  6. You can't bend your elbows.
  7. Whenever you speak, use your hands to give yourself 'bunny ears.'
  8. You are a leprechaun. Whenever someone touches you, protect your cards and say"Yer always after me lucky charms!"
  9. At the beginning of each of your turns recite a different ad slogan or jingle.
Meg's curses at the time:
  1. You are Count Dracula. Speak like a vampire.
  2. You are a Marine Drill Sergeant. Shout everything you say. ("Do you hear me Maggots?" etc.)
  3. You are Captain Hook. Speak like a grizzled old pirate, ("Arrr matey!" "Avast ye! etc!")
  4. You are St. Patrick - Speak with an Irish accent.
  5. You are a Vulcan. Whenever you laugh, say "That is not funny." with a straight face.
  6. Whenever you speak, say everything as though you have hiccups.
  7. Whenever the person to your right draws a card, try to grab it away.
  8. Each time you read a card, slap your face.
  9. Whenever you speak, a swarm of invisible mosquitoes surrounds your head, Swat them away.

Whit and Meg ended up with about 13 each. As we watch the video we noticed a few other things were missed and the game could have been over much sooner, but the girls were too worried about their own cards. After a fun filled hour, the game ended with Whit completely forgetting almost everything. All and all we had a fun night with the Royals.
